IOS, android, windows mobile?

The popularity contest between IOS, android and windows mobile, has gone viral among users specially teenagers. While each OS boasting its own fan base, that most likely won’t change its mind, let’s see each OS features.

IOS 7.0 – 7.1(beta)

Before launching any iPhone, rumors about unbelievable features starts to circle the web. How many of you have watched the video of the transparent piece of glass that was supposed to be an iPhone? While that is technically impossible, not yet anyway, Apple managed through ios 7, to give the user the feeling of handling a slim blurry piece of glass.

Not only that, iPhone users usually complain about being unable to customize their phones so they gave them a sort of theming. Whatever you are doing, your keyboard/input takes the colors of your background in a blurry way, and app developers can customize the keyboard in their apps.

Why ios 7.1(beta)? From what I’ve seen in the 7.1, Apple basically replaced all rectangular buttons with circular ones. Perhaps this is the new trend?

Android 4.4 (Kit Kat)

Android is also trying to give you the feeling of handling something light and slim, in its own way. As usual transparency is something Android users love, and that is what they gave them, half transparent with a classy shade of black.

What about theming? Most Android users know that theming is mainly subject to the mobile manifacturers company. Each one adds its own features to the phone. In addition, the market is overloaded by apps that change the appearance of your home screen, lock screen, icons….
Those circles again ??

Obviously circles are the future of mobile design. They kinda look cool so why not ?
So far android has nothing special to offer, but wait it’s not over yet. Widgets is an old concept for andoird, but it’s efficient, user friendly and fast. All your tweaks are one click away and in an interactive manner.

Windows mobile

Windows mobile has a unique approach. No need to make users feel as they have a slim phone, let us give them slim applications. Windows home is full of sharp rectangles of different sizes. Not only these rectangles are interactive tiles, they give the impression of someone taking his life seriously.

It’s all about getting the business done. As you may notice all worldwide companies are using this style in their website designs, not the circular hip design.
Let us take a look at the apps menu. So simple with absolutely no design just a vertcal list. Again that is serious.

How can you personalize something like that? I guess the image speaks for itself.

Although it’s not related to appearance, windows mobile users seem to be very fond of the music and camera software, and I thought it was worth mentioning.

As u can see each phone OS has its own features that makes it special. You can’t say which one is the best simply because each one is promoting a certain style. If you think you are cool and hip you’ll definitely prefer android, if you just want your business to be done efficiently you’ll go for windows mobile and finally if you just want to be classy ios is definitely yours.
